AXIOS provides management-system certification through a defined process: agreement, a two-stage initial audit, nonconformity handling, an independent review and a certification decision — followed by annual surveillance and recertification before expiry. Certification is granted only where sufficient objective evidence demonstrates conformity with the applicable standard.
The certification cycle runs for three years and begins with the certification decision. Where requirements are seriously or persistently unmet, certification may be suspended, restored, reduced in scope or withdrawn, and the public certification status is updated accordingly.

This overview is based on the AXIOS Certification Procedure (ACA-P-07) and is aligned to ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015. Scheme-specific rules, IAF mandatory documents and accreditation-body requirements are controlled separately where applicable. The controlled version is maintained in the AXIOS document repository.
