1. About these Terms
These Terms of Use apply to everyone who visits or uses the AXIOS website and its online services, including certification application forms, the client portal, the certificate verification tool and the certified clients directory. By using the website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
These Terms govern the use of the website. Certification services themselves are provided under a separate certification agreement between AXIOS and each client, together with the AXIOS certification rules and procedures. Where these Terms and a certification agreement differ, the certification agreement prevails for the certification services it covers.
2. About AXIOS
AXIOS operates as a certification body providing management system certification services. AXIOS does not offer consultancy services.
AXIOS maintains offices in the following countries:
- •Egypt
- •Saudi Arabia
- •United Arab Emirates
- •Sultanate of Oman
3. Certification services and impartiality
AXIOS provides management system certification services in accordance with applicable certification standards, certification scheme requirements, contractual obligations, and relevant accreditation requirements, where applicable.
AXIOS is committed to maintaining impartiality, independence, objectivity, and confidentiality throughout its certification activities.
Certification decisions are based on established assessment criteria, objective audit evidence, and applicable certification requirements.
AXIOS does not provide management system consultancy services as part of its certification activities.
Submission of an application, payment of certification fees, or completion of a training program does not guarantee certification approval.
Certification decisions remain independent of inappropriate commercial, financial, or other influences.
4. Certification applications and agreements
Information submitted through an online application or quotation request must be complete, accurate and kept up to date. AXIOS relies on this information to define the certification scope, plan audit time and prepare a proposal.
Submitting an application does not create a certification agreement. Certification services begin only after the applicant accepts the AXIOS proposal and the certification agreement, and AXIOS confirms the application review.
AXIOS may decline or suspend an application where information is incomplete or inaccurate, where the requested scope cannot be covered competently, or where a threat to impartiality cannot be adequately managed.
5. Certification audits and decisions
Certification audits are planned and carried out according to the applicable standard, the certification scheme rules and the AXIOS certification procedures. Clients are expected to provide access to the sites, personnel, records and information needed to complete the audit.
Decisions on granting, maintaining, renewing, extending, reducing, suspending or withdrawing certification are taken by AXIOS personnel who were not involved in the audit, on the basis of the audit findings and other relevant information.
6. Certificate validity, suspension, withdrawal and expiry
A certificate is valid only for the scope, sites and period stated on it, and only while the client continues to meet the certification requirements, including surveillance audits and the timely closure of nonconformities.
AXIOS may suspend, withdraw or reduce the scope of a certificate in accordance with its certification rules, for example where requirements are not met, surveillance or recertification audits are not carried out, certificates or marks are misused, or contractual obligations are not fulfilled.
When a certificate is suspended, withdrawn or has expired, the client must stop referring to the certification and stop using any certificate or certification mark connected with it. The status shown in the AXIOS certificate verification tool reflects the status recorded by AXIOS.
7. Certificate verification and prevention of misuse
The certificate verification tool lets anyone confirm the authenticity and current status of a certificate issued by AXIOS. It displays only the limited information needed for that purpose.
Verification results are provided for information only. Users must not alter, misrepresent or selectively reproduce verification results, and must not use the tool to collect data in bulk or by automated means.
Anyone who suspects that an AXIOS certificate is forged, altered or being misused is encouraged to report it to AXIOS through the contact page.
8. Certification marks and intellectual property
AXIOS certification marks and logos may be used only by certified clients, only for the certified scope and only in accordance with the AXIOS rules for the use of certificates and marks. Certification marks must not be placed on products, product packaging or laboratory test, calibration or inspection reports in a way that suggests product certification.
All content on this website, including text, design, graphics, logos and software, is owned by AXIOS or used with permission. It may not be copied, reproduced or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from AXIOS.
9. Client portal and accounts
Access to the client portal is provided to authorised client representatives. Users are responsible for keeping their login details confidential and for all activity carried out under their account.
Users must inform AXIOS promptly of any unauthorised use of their account. AXIOS may suspend or close access where an account is misused or where security requires it.
10. Confidentiality and data protection
AXIOS treats information obtained during certification activities as confidential, except where information is made publicly available by the client, is required for public certificate verification, or must be disclosed by law. Where disclosure is required by law, the client is informed unless the law prohibits it.
Personal data submitted through the website is processed for service delivery, certification management, communication, legal compliance and certificate verification, as described in the AXIOS Privacy Notice.
11. Complaints and appeals
Complaints about AXIOS services and appeals against certification decisions can be submitted through the Appeals and Complaints page. AXIOS acknowledges each complaint or appeal, investigates it impartially and informs the complainant or appellant of the outcome. Complaints and appeals do not result in discriminatory action.
12. Acceptable use and website security
Users must use the website lawfully and responsibly. In particular, users must not:
- •Attempt unauthorised access to any part of the website, portal or systems
- •Upload files containing viruses, malware or harmful code
- •Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information
- •Misuse certificate verification results or impersonate AXIOS or its clients
- •Interfere with the operation, security or performance of the website
AXIOS may restrict or block access where misuse or a security risk is detected.
13. AXIOS Academy
The website includes a separate section for AXIOS Academy, which offers training programmes and issues its own training records. AXIOS Academy is a distinct training activity. Its training services are governed by their own terms and conditions, which identify the provider of those services.
Training offered through AXIOS Academy is not a condition of certification, does not form part of the certification process and has no bearing on any certification decision.
14. Third-party links
The website may contain links to third-party websites, such as standards bodies. AXIOS is not responsible for the content, availability or practices of those websites.
15. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The website and its content are provided for general information. AXIOS takes reasonable care to keep the information accurate and up to date but does not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free or free from harmful components.
To the extent permitted by law, AXIOS is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the website. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Liability for certification services is governed by the certification agreement.
16. Changes to these Terms
AXIOS may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version is published on this page with its effective date, and continued use of the website after publication means acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the country where the AXIOS office serving the user is located, unless a certification agreement specifies otherwise. Disputes relating to the website are subject to the competent courts of that country.
18. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to AXIOS through the Contact page.
